Notre Dame de Lourdes offers a variety of groups designed for growth, service, and building community. Whether you want to volunteer, learn, or connect, there’s a place for you here.
The parish sponsors a Boy Scout troop that meets at a local Methodist church. Open to youth ages 11 to 18, the program promotes leadership, outdoor skills, and community service.
This ministry meets twice a month for prayer, worship, and fellowship. Members gather to grow spiritually and strengthen their relationship with God through the power of prayer.
Two music groups lead the congregation in worship through song. Their ministry enhances parish liturgies with music that inspires prayer and participation.
Families and volunteers take turns hosting coffee and donuts after weekend Masses. This ministry fosters fellowship and offers a welcoming space for parishioners to connect.
This group serves at Mass through various liturgical roles, including reading Scripture, assisting at the altar, and distributing Communion. Each role helps enrich the celebration of the Eucharist.
We are an Institute of Pastoral Theological Training, whose main objective is to contribute to the Formation of all the lay faithful inside and outside the United States of North America, interested in deepening Christian formation from a perspective: "Human, Spiritual, Intellectual, Pastoral and Missionary".
Extraordinary Ministers to the Sick bring Communion to parishioners who cannot attend Mass. They visit homes, hospitals, and care facilities to share the presence of Christ with those in need.
The First Aid Team consists of volunteers trained to use AEDs and assist with medical needs during parish events. Their presence helps ensure a safe environment for all parishioners.
The Food Outreach Group, known as FOG, provides weekly meals to about 50 homebound or low-income individuals. Members also run a monthly food pantry at the East Carbon mission to serve families in need.
The Funeral Dinner Committee prepares and serves meals for funeral gatherings. They provide food, setup, and cleanup for parishioners and community members in times of loss.
The Hispanic Liturgy Group organizes celebrations and devotions for the Hispanic community. They coordinate events such as the Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration, rosaries, and bilingual liturgies.
This ministry offers comfort and prayer for families when a loved one is near death. Members visit homes, hospitals, or care centers to pray with the family and support them in faith.
The Knights of Columbus is a men's service organization that supports the parish through charity and fellowship. They host a pancake breakfast on the first Sunday of each month and volunteer at parish events.
Our Religious Education program teaches children the foundations of the Catholic faith. Classes help them prepare for the sacraments and understand what it means to live as disciples of Christ.
The Sewing Group meets weekly in the church basement to sew quilts and other handmade items. Their work supports parish fundraisers, including the annual Oktoberfest.
The Snow Removal Team keeps parish grounds clear and safe during the winter months. Volunteers shovel walkways, operate snowblowers, and ensure the church remains accessible.
Wonder and New is a women’s fellowship group that meets twice a month for prayer, discussion, and encouragement. It offers a place for women to share faith and support one another.
The Youth Ministry meets twice a month to help teens grow in faith and community. One gathering focuses on social activities, while the other centers on spiritual lessons and service.
