Baptism

Baptism incorporates us into Christ and forms us into God’s people. 

Infant Baptism

Infant Baptism is a Sacrament of Initiation that welcomes a child into our faith community of Catholic Christian believers. It is the celebration that begins the faith life of the child in and with Christ.

Preparation for Baptism

1. Parent Preparation Class

Parents need to participate in a preparation class before the Celebration of Baptism.

2. Godparents

You may have 1 or 2 Godparents

If you are Single (not Married): You will need your Baptism, 1st Communion and Confirmation.

If you are Married:  You will need your Baptism, 1st Communion, Cofirmation and to be Married in a Catholic Church. The godparents are required to take this preparation class.  You may take the class here at Notre Dame de Lourdes or at any other parish.  Baptism Preparation Classes are held on the third Sunday of the month in the church basement. Please contact Mike or Della Gurule at 637-9025 to sign up for the class. 

3. Celebrating Baptism

 After you have attended the Baptismal Preparation class, call Fr. Marco to schedule the baptism.
